Enrolment into any of our classes or courses means you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right to make changes to these terms at any time.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Graphic Icon reserves the right to change any class, schedule or tutor if required. If this circumstance arises, we will endeavour to provide a substitute arrangement. If a class or course is required to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any enrolled student in that particular class will be contacted and an alternative class at a suitable time for both parties will be arranged. If an agreement cannot be met, a full refund for that particular class will be applicable.
Please double check the enrolment booking carefully before you enrol, as we do not issue refunds. Transfers are also not available.
ALL tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No student is able attend a class without full tuition fees paid or monthly subscription arrangement met. Any NEW student who enrols after Week 1 of the year must be signed up to a monthly subscription or have yearly tuition fee paid in full, and for in person classes, the balance of the term payment must be received prior to beginning.
Full payment or monthly subscription must be arranged prior to commencement of the class or course. We do not accept responsibility for a student’s personal situation that has been changed, which prevents them from attendance in a class or course. Missed classes are the student’s responsibility and refunds will not be issued for a missed class. A make-up class may be attended as arranged by Graphic Icon.
All prices are in Australian dollars and are subject to change. Prices include GST (if any) unless otherwise marked. An invoice/receipt will be issued on successful enrolment or purchase if required. Current fees are outlined on our enrolment information.
Missed classes
If you/your child are unable to attend a class please notify us via text or email as soon as possible. There are no transfers, credit, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class or if your personal circumstances change, unless organised by Graphic Icon. For virtual online classes, the recording will be sent via email link for later participation in the class in your own time.
Cancellation of enrolment
If you choose to withdraw from a class or course, we request the cancellation be issued to us in writing. You will not receive a refund for the course fee paid for that current month (online) or term (in-person). Your enrolment will be cancelled from the 1st day of the following month and the monthly subscriptions will cease. If you have paid the years tuition in full, a refund of the balance of the year pro-rata will be arranged from the 1st day of the following month from when the cancellation has been notified in writing.
No course fees may be transferred to another student for any of our classes or courses.
Student substitutions
If you are enrolled in a class or course and you are unable to attend a class during the year, you CANNOT give your place for the missed session/s to someone else.
Art Materials
Supplies lists for classes are included in the class information. Students are required to supply their own art supplies (paints etc) unless otherwise specified in the course description. A supplies kit will be required to be purchased through us on enrolment or sourced individually by the student prior to commencement of the class or course. A lack of supplies for a student will result in an inadequate artwork result.
Graphic Icon supplies all project materials for each student and this is covered in tuition fees. This includes project substrates and specific items required for each project. For our virtual online students, all materials are delivered to the student’s address recorded on enrolment in bundles for each project.
Photography and Marketing
Often we take photos during class or of a finished artwork. These photos will be used by and for Graphic Icon purely for our promotional purposes. We will never sell any of the photographs and will only be used exclusively by us. When enrolment is complete your consent is implied for use of such photographs. Should you wish to object to your photograph being used, please notify us in writing.
Classes
Students must notify us of changes to personal details as soon as possible.
We ask that students do not eat during class times.
Out of respect for the other students and tutors in the class, students should arrive for their scheduled class no less than 5 minutes prior to starting time to be ready to begin work at the correct time.
Students are not to disrupt another student’s ability to learn during classes. Discrimination of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. Any inappropriate student behaviour will result in being asked to leave and may end in termination of the course. In this situation a refund of any course fees will NOT be given.
Graphic Icon reserves the right to terminate a student enrolment if there is an ongoing matter that has not been resolved through thorough communication.
Students are to observe closely and follow direct instruction when handling equipment in class. Graphic Icon holds no responsibility in personal injury due to misuse of equipment by student.
Medical and Personal Requirements
If your child has an existing medical condition, allergy or disability that may affect their participation in a class, you should notify us on the enrolment form or in writing prior to commencement of a class or course.
Siblings
Siblings in our face-2-face classes are required to be enrolled separately and a payment arrangement in place prior to commencement. There is no discount for siblings in these classes.
Siblings in our virtual online classes are not required to be charged for the screen class time. However, the materials must be paid in full or a payment arrangement in place. This can be done through our enrolment procedure prior to commencement. All students living at the residence receiving this discounted option are required to submit a birth certificate or adoption paperwork, showing their mother, father or guardian which was recorded on their enrolment form.
Privacy Policy
Your personal details will be recorded when you have made contact with us or enrolled into a class or course. This information is kept confidential and Graphic Icon will not disclose such information to any third party without your prior consent, except if required by law. We do not keep any credit card information provided to us.
At times we will send you an email for the purpose of information sharing or marketing. If for any reason you do not wish to receive these emails, please simply unsubscribe from our contacts list via the link within the email.
Dress Code
We recommend each student wears clothes for class that hold no sentimental value as we can get messy. We cannot be held responsible for any soiled or damaged clothes due to participation in the class. Painting aprons are available in house for our face-2-face classes.
Valuables
Valuables should be kept at home. If for any reason they are required for a particular project, Graphic Icon accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal items or art materials that belong to students.
COVID-19
While we navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, Graphic Icon is following directions defined by the state government. Graphic Icon ask that students assist in this by following the correct guidelines including the following.
- Social distancing where possible and wearing masks if able to
- Washing and sanitising hands
- Staying home if the student is unwell or showing symptom
If classes are required to be cancelled due to a lockdown period, Graphic Icon will do their best to ensure no student is penalised. Classes will be rescheduled or another arrangement will be made in this case.
Alcohol (Adult Art Classes)
Graphic Icon expects students to act responsibly in our studio at all times, especially in relation to alcohol consumption. Graphic Icon reserves the right to remove any student who is under the influence of alcohol and is creating a disturbance to any other student. It is illegal for a person to supply alcohol to a minor in our adult mixed classes.
Smoking
Graphic Icon is strictly smoke-free and smoking is not permitted under any circumstances in or around the building.
Disclaimer and Loss Or Damage
Graphic Icon will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this website, or from any services provided from this website or studio, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.
You agree to indemnify Graphic Icon and hold us harmless from and against any and all liabilities or expenses arising from or in any way related to your use of this website or the services or information offered on this website, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and solicitors fees of every kind and nature incurred by you or any third parties through you.
